Yahoo! Philippines Purple Hunt: Family Edition Stages Finale Event

In the spirit everything Yahoo! - After two successful Yahoo! Philippines Purple Hunt done in the country (2009 & 2011) where they gave away Purple-ized cars. Yahoo! Philippines Purple Hunt is back again for the third time and this time participants  chance to win a Presidio condominium unit at Lakefront from Camella Condo Homes.


Dubbed as "The Yahoo! Philippines Purple Hunt 3.0: Family Edition", The four-week long online adventure aims to bring the whole family together to explore the Web, discover the various Yahoo! properties and spend quality time bonding. 


The Yahoo! Purple Hunt is a fun experience that promotes responsible use of the Internet by educating parents and their children about online safety, while standing a chance to win exciting prizes. This includes Globe Tattoo Prepaid Broadband Sticks, Flight packages to Domestic & International destinations courtesy of Airphil Express, McDonald’s Birthday Party Packages and MyPhone mobile phones.

A family consisting of at least one parent and one child above the age of 13 was eligible to participate in the treasure hunt by following three simple steps: signing up, creating a team and taking the Yahoo! Safely pledge.

The Yahoo Purple Hunt 3.0: Family Edition Finale Invitation Video

After 4 weeks of online scavenger hunt, qualified families who finished the online hunt all came to SM Mall of Asia Music Hall last November 18, 2011 for the Live Finale event of the Yahoo! Philippines game.


As early as 10am, Purple Hunters flocked to the SM Mall of Asia Music hall to witness the Finale event of the 3rd Yahoo Purple Hunt. Luckily, Me and my Mom is one of the Qualified finalists.





On-Ground activities are also laid out all throughout the venue where participants as well as walk-in's can get a Yahoo Passport stamp card, Participants will then go to the booths and accomplish the tasks given to receive Stamps on their passport, Once completed, they will be given a yahoo goodies!

Some of the Passport booths are The Yahoo Safely Booth where participants need to read and pledge for Yahoo Safety,

The Yahoo Messenger where they need to upload a new avatar in their account,
Yahoo Mail booth where participants needs to update their spam settings,




Yahoo OMG booth where they need to share one Y! OMG article to their Facebook account, Globe Booth where they need to post their "Today I Will..." line on the freedom wall,

The Myphone booth (one of my Favorite booth) is where participants need to take photos in the photo booth to get a stamp, 


The Airphil Express booth where Participants need to like their Facebook page to get a stamp and The Camella Condo Homes booth where participants need to answer a Camella Homes related question to get a stamp.

The event officially kicked off late in the afternoon with the Ms. Kapuso World - Martha Chloe McCulley hosting the event, on-stage games and raffles we're also done where MyPhone Phones, Yahoo! Fridge's & Flight Packages where given away as prizes.



Performances by Kapuso artists Ryza Cenon and Steven Silva was also enjoyed by the Yahoo Purple Hunters and attendees who joined the Finale Event.





Families who qualified for the finale battled it out in a 5 round series of games where in the end, One team came victorious and won a brand new 1 bedroom condominium unit courtesy of Camella Condo Homes!

Yahoo! Philippines is now preparing for the Yahoo Philippines Purple Hunt 4.0: Summer Edition happening Summer of 2012.
