My Not-so-good Shopping Experience with MYSALE.PH

If you are a regular reader of alexbamin3D, you might have bumped into some of my independent online shopping reviews like the one I did for Zalora Philippines and eBay Philippines. I recently did a little online shop hunting and stumbled upon MYSALE.PH and as a brave guy that I am, I tried buying from this website.


As a new player in the Philippine online selling circle, I decided to search around know more about MYSALE.PH, According to their website, MYSALE is operated by OZSALE Pty Limited - a company registered in Australia and is also a member of the APAC Sale Group.

They do daily sale of different items (mostly fashion items) and it just runs for a few days until they close the orders for that particular brand. Once the selling is over for a certain brand, the items under it won't be available anymore.



As I always do, I tried searching for reviews about MYSALE before I even did my first purchase, but no results online aside from the wall posts of people waiting for their packages in MYSALE Philippines' Facebook page. My 'scam sense' was tingling that time but I still took the plunge just so that I can review the website to guide future buyers.



I browsed their website and found this nice pair of boots, it was priced at 600 pesos which are miles cheaper than buying in malls here in Manila. I decided to get this and check out, that's when I found out that the shipping price is 399 pesos so my grand total went up to 999 pesos. Since it will be coming from outside the country, I decided to continue. It was February 9, 2014 when I did my purchase.


Days passed and I still didn't get any updates regarding my order, but since the estimated delivery date was between March 3 - 10th, I didn't mind it and just went on with my normal routine. It was February 22nd when I received a notification that my order is now on the way to the country. Their tracking system with their delivery partner is actually quite useless as it updates late.

March 3rd arrive and I was excited to receive my package, I inquired about the location of my package via MYSALE Philippines' Facebook page. They sometimes reply fast while most of the time, inquiries are left unanswered for days. As a Social Media Manager myself, I know it's a bad thing leaving your customers waiting for an answer for days.


It was March 8th when the delivery guy from Quantium Solutions Philippines (MYSALE's partner courier) arrived at my door and handed my package, I was surprised to see that the box is quite small for a pair of boots. I immediately opened the package infront of the delivery guy and viola, it's the wrong pair of shoes! The delivery guy advised me to call their office so that I can set an appointment for them to pick-up my package for return.


I called Quantium Solutions office and they advised me to first file a return on MYSALE.PH website so that I can get a return process code for them. After filing my return, I waited for a couple of days for MYSALE to approve it. I got my return code and called up Quantium Solutions again, I told them that I got the return number and is requesting for pick-up of the package. I was surprised when they told me that I need to send it back to their office at my own expense and they won't pick it up from my place.

It was frustrating to know that they let their customers experience this horrendous situation for an error they made on their end, but since I am left with no choice, I decided to send it back to their office at my own expense in the hopes of getting a full refund.



From March 12th I waited for my refund, this was incorporated with multiple messages on their website and Facebook page. I noticed they don't have an email address where you can send your inquiries, instead you have to use their contact page where they respond after 2-3 days with their customer support answering you canned responses. To top it all off, different people responds to you with each message you reply to them.

April 1st arrived and just like a joke, I still haven't received my full refund. I decided to blast them again with a message via their website, Facebook page wall, and Facebook private message. They finally responded the following day and promised that my refund is on its way back to my card.


The refund arrived April 8th, delayed again, but it arrived and I got my refund which is 999 pesos. It was definitely the first time consuming and frustrating transaction I had online. Here are a few pros and cons of buying from MYSALE.PH

PROS:
- Cheap items with wide array of choices and sizes for everyone.
- They accept VISA, Mastercard, and American Express as payment.
- You can get a chance to buy earlier than anyone else if you have their mobile app.

CONS:
- Long delivery timeframe.
- Poor customer service, they respond late and with canned answers.
- Poor after sale service, especially for refunds.
- No email address available, all messages to them will be sent through their contact form.
- Tendency to send you wrong item and you don't have the chance to get the item you want anymore since the items they sell only runs for a limited time.
- No option for PayPal Payment (which is safer for everyone).

To round it all up,  and if you will ask if I will try to buy again from them soon? My answer would be yes -- but not until they improve their system and customer service. MYSALE.PH delivers, but everything between the time you order and the time you recieve your order needs improvement on their end. If you're the adventurous type and don't mind the long wait or the delayed response to inquiries - go ahead and order from them, if not, go look at other websites.

    1. Hi Jing! You can get in touch with them through their website, go to 'my accounts' the click 'my contacts' and request for new contact. Alternatively, you can click the 'contact' tab on the upper right of the homepage. Good luck and I hope they resolve your issue. :)

      Based on reviews made by other people, it looks like some of their items are only Class A. I recommend not buying expensive items / jewelries online as you don't know what you'll going to get. :)

  5. my order is incomplete.. don't waste time and money on with mysale!
    order ref 14732968 & 14719714. jackets and 3 dresses missing.
    ordered nov 24, delivered dec 3, 2014.
    tried to message them on their apps "contact us".. but still no feedbeack yet.
    i want to warn everybody, this site is a hoax.. even the cap they have delivered is dirty. it's like it's used already. i hope they can read this comment. have given the ref number, i know they can trace it, if they would want to. LBC was the courier last dec 3. my 4k+ was wasted. the dresses was suppose to be a present for my wife.

      MySale definitely needs to improve how people can contact them and how they handle orders by their customers.

  6. Yes Alexis,
    But to be fair, just recently checked their apps. They replied to my measages already, Stating they have refunded me those items that weren't delivered.
    So I called my bank. Found out that amount wasn't as I expected it to be, just short of humdreds.. Maybe they have charged a processing fee for the refund.:(
    Which they shouldn't do, It's not my fault.
    Ask them why it's that way, just now..

  7. I also had my bad experience with them. My order was already dispatched last nov. 26 nd still no item was received. When i tracked it no record was found. I tried many times contacting them but still no reply was received.

  8. Hi Kabayans, I am in NZ where this company, after Australia started. I have been using them for more than 4 years now and so far, I only have to return a few, due to misfit. One thing with NZSale as we have it here, delivery can be 3 weeks or more. But they are genuine, altho most are alraedy made in China and other less wealthy countries. But the quality is there. Now its also in Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand etc. So consider all these factors so you dont get disappointed. Also to save on delivery cost, bunch up with friends ordering from the same category.

  9. Hi....I would like to know if its safe to buy leather handbags as the price was so low...it was rm229...as I'm a new user ..I always review before buying anything... I want some advice on this please. I used to buy from lazada n Groupon and had no problems in purchase.

      As always, when buying online it's really hard to tell if they are authentic until they get delivered. So just take caution when buying online, especially those that has high value and being sold at super low price. :)

  11. I just want to share my experience. Twice I bought Onitsuka Tiger shoes from mySale and I didn't have any problems encountered during the shipment. It arrived after 14days and the items seem authentic.

  12. I also want to share.. my friends and I have been buying from mysale since last year. I haven't experienced any problems so far. I just got my new orders this week. I bought a chunky sandals for 300 pesos and when I looked for it online, it costs about 200 AUD.

  13. I thought I ordered a Greg Norman polo shirt as advertised; it turned out to be a cheap no-name brand Made in China. As earlier bought murals to be stuck on to walls, lots of typos ��

  17. I will not recommend mysale. why? Cause until now my order since april wala pa ako nareresib nakailang tawag na ako sa quantum 7× palagi nila sinasabi 2-3 days papada nila hangang ngayon nganga! Wala nag message din ako ng marami beses sa mysale wala rin sayang lang pera😔NO GOOD MYSALE🖓

  18. Hi alex, such a good review. I just would like to share my experience with Mysale. 1st time i bought an eye shadow and some other cosmetics.. Apart from the long wait for me to get i also received a broken eye shadow. I make my comment and they ask me to return it back to them but I didn't do it cos 1st d item is cheap only 9.90 so i dont care much, 2nd if i want to send back the item its me who will bare the cost such as to travel from my place to the post office n to pay the courier and at the end the item will be more that what it should be also its just going to waste more of my time.
    2nd time my parcel was okay other than the long waiting for the things to deliver.
    3rd time im still waiting for it to deliver. It has been 3 weeks by now im writting this.
    4th time was 2 days after i bought the 3rd one. This time around it was really sucks! As i was viewing the items in mysale while having my dinner, what happened was usually i like to just select anything i think i would like to buy and let it go to my cart because its quite hassle if i have to go back n forth to d previous page or brand so what ever i feel like buying it i will just send to my cart and once im done i will review it back from my cart and see it i really want it or not and how much the total i haveto pay.. Sudenly after i click pay it straight away say taht it was successful. How the hack is it successful? I was shocked at the moment because im pretty sure i did not update my credit card yet n how do they approved it? R they giving it for free? Im not satisfied so i send them a message like what mentioned by alex they dont have any email add so i have to send vent their apps. I asked them d queat like how is it possible cos i have not update any payment method yet. The next day they replied me n saying that in order to improve their customers experience that have make changes to the checkout process. Meaning that they have saved my credit card details from my last shopping with them without my acknowledgement. I was really mad! How can they do that? Without my consent? How if im not agree to use that credit card? How if someone play with my phone and randomly buy anything n click checkout? A lot of posibility could happen. Irregardless of what they excuses are they should at least ask from me or at least my security code nonetheless. They promised to get back to me and everyday ive been chasing them. Iast i received an email from their representative saying to give me a call but i did not receive anything yet until now I waited until now. I suggest to buy from other online store such as amazon as they customer service is the best. Example like my friend who bought a shoe but its quite big for her so she is tryher luck if it cn be changed however amazon said that its fine she may give to anyone the shoe n they will send her new one without asking my friend to return or pay them back.

As for the check out process, this I can assure you that we Mysale doesn't keep the Credit Card details. BrainTree is part of PayPal and they capture the payment details once purchase is done for easier check out process for customers. However if customers do not wish to have them kept, can remove the details by heading to their Mysale account > My Payments.   20. I am impressed how Sham is handling these concerns even after 2 years. I cane across this blog a year ago and completely shut my thoughts of buying from MySale. I hope MySale has truly changed thier management and assure that these items on sale are authentic. I came across this blog again today because I am loving their RayBan sale but still scared of getting second hand items or class As since the sale of RayBan here in PH is close to the amount published in MySale plus the precautions I've read.

  22. me too. having terrible experience with mysale! they said they will improve their service but they NEVER actually. just bought a watch on 23rd Nov 2016 and received the watch a month later. eventho I need to wait for a month, but I am still okay with it. the thing was... watch that I received is not function!

    I've logged a case to mysale but their customer very lousy!!! it took dayssss for them to reply to my messages and the issue still not solved until now!!

    for those who wish to buy with mysale, better think wisely. I agree with Shara, better buy from amazon as their customer service wayyy better compared to mysale. their customer service is the best!

I was googling about Mysale Ph's local hotline because I've been flooding their CS with complaints and messages and demands about my missing parcel and that I would like to get a refund for the order and yet they kept on sending me automated/formatted replies. Nothing is more frustrating! My order #24882682 worth 8,660 php was ordered on March 26. As per mysale, stock arrived on April 3, packed on April 5, and got dispatched on April 6. Nearly two weeks after when I checked if the tracking details already showed but to no avail. After their "investigation" they found out that my parcel is nowhere to be found and that they are willing to process a refund for me but up until now all I am receiving are false promises. I will surely report this to the concerned government agency.
