Taiwan Excellence: Excellent Lifestyle Brands in the Philippines

Familiar with the brands like Asus, HTC, and Acer? Do you know what country they all came from? They all from Taiwan! Yes, aside from bring excellent brands, these brands and a lot more came from our neighboring country - Taiwan. But beyond these brands mentioned, they have a lot more to offer for us.

With more shopping choices nowadays, Filipinos have access to a wide array of goods and services from different country. However, because of this, imported products most of the time has no guarantee that what we buy is of high quality. Luckily enough, you'll now know if the products coming from Taiwan is high quality or not.

Taiwan, through its Bureau of Foreign Trade of Taiwan (BOFT) and Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA), has organized and implemented a campaign to help Filipino consumers identify the best from the rest. Dubbed as TAIWAN EXCELLENCE, the campaign helps consumer recognize high-quality Taiwanese brands and guarantees their superior quality & value. But how do they do this?

To qualify for these awards, Taiwanese brands and products go through a rigorous screening process to ensure that they are of the highest standard and can proudly represent the unique and innovative culture of Taiwan to the world.

All Taiwan based brands are eligible to be part of the campaign, these includes consumer & business IT, fashion, arts & culture, sports, education, transportation and a whole lot more. Each product will go through an international panel of judges that will screened and evaluate the products. Each product must score evenly in the categories of R&D, design, quality, and marketing. From among the selected products, the judges choose those who deserve the Silver and Gold Award recognition.  They will select thirty from the original winners, with only ten to be given the Gold Award, the highest recognition under the campaign, while the remaining finalists will be given the Silver Award. 

The Taiwan Excellence capaign was introduced in the Philippines early this year for the first time to benefit the Filipino consumers who purchase products from Taiwan. The campaign carried the theme “Excellent Lifestyle” not just to showcase the 56 excellent brands under Taiwan Excellence, but to also let Filipinos recognize how these products enable them to enjoy an excellent lifestyle. Some of the brands under the campaign include Acer, Asus, HTC, Tatung, and BenQ.

As a regular shopper, I'm excited to know a campaign like this was launched to benefit the consumers and assure us that the products we buy from our hard earned money are high quality and has passed the watchful eyes of their panel.
