First Time Shopping from YesStyle to the Philippines

I couldn't help but repeat it over and over again, I love online shopping! Just check out my recent online shopping reviews and see what are some of my hauls. It's like a god-sent treat for people who doesn't want to get out of the house, brave the malls, and take hours of looking for things to buy -- which eventually ends you up going home empty handed.

Last November when everyone was busy doing their Christmas shopping, I encountered a shopping site that most of my KPOP loving friends are already familiar with - YESSTYLE.COM. It's an Asia-based fashion website that caters to shoppers worldwide. More about my experience after the jump.

YesStyle.com isn't a new player in the online shopping scene based in Hong Kong, they have been around since 2006 but it was just recently when they became aggressive in marketing their website worldwide and Philippines is definitely one of the countries that they serve. I decided to give it a try and see if it's worth buying from this site.

It was Cyber Monday (Monday after Thanksgiving, if you're not aware) and I found out on their Facebook page that they have this 'Cyber Monday Sale' with up to 80% off on some items with an additional 15% off and to top it off, unconditional free standard shipping.

I decided to browse their site and found out that when they say they are on sale, they are really slashing off a lot on the prices! I finally found a couple of items that caught my eyes and placed them in my shopping bag. One thing to note is that their sizes are Asian size, which means it's one size smaller that normal sizes - if you're normally size L, get XL. These are the items I got, perfect timing since I need something to wear for the holidays.

I got a Camo knitted jacket and a long sleeved shirt, my bill reached $15.76 (700php). I found out that the free shipping for the Cyber Monday promo is only standard and I don't want to risk my package getting stuck in customs, so I opted for Express Shipping for an additional $4.99 (200php) which promises my package to arrive at my doorstep in just 3-5 days. Standard Shipping which takes 7-21 days is free if your bag is $25 or more.

Payment is a breeze for me since they accept credit cards and PayPal. I opt for Paypal payment and payed in dollars, it's also much safer than using your credit card since you can file a dispute in case something bad happens. Here's my order details in case you're curious;

After a few hours, I already got an email informing me that my item has been shipped, the tracking code has been update after a few hours more though. I found out that their courier is the Asian forwarding company, TOLL. I tracked my package Friday November 28th, the following day it arrived in the Philippines and it got delivered to me by Monday which means it only took 4 days for my orders to arrive.

The delivery guy actually marked that I'm not at home during that Saturday but I'm actually home all day waiting for him to arrive, same scenario happened during my second order recently. As for the clothes I ordered, it's wrapped up pretty good and it looks like this.

I unwrapped my sealed package and this is what greeted me, my two orders perfectly folded and ready for me to wear. The colors are actually accurate with the one posted on their website, the quality are great, and as expected, I got the right sizes by pushing my size one up when I ordered.

The camo jacket is a little thick than I expected so I guess I'll be wearing this during the cold season. They both fit perfectly on me and they match, so I can wear them together or matched with my other clothes.

Overall, my first time buying experience from YesStyle.com to the Philippines is definitely a good one. I already made my second purchase just a couple of weeks ago where I bought a pair of running shoes for only $13 (600php). This is definitely not the last time I'll be buying from them.

    1. Hello Lara!

YesStyle ships out from China and Hongkong, they use a different courier which is TOLL and they deliver door to door so that is not possible.

As for payments, I think PayMaya is VISA so it's a yes. :)

    1. Hello!

Most of yesstyle's brands follow asian sizes, so if you're size L on local stores here I recommend getting an XL or XXL to be safe. :)

  7. I just tried ordering from them about 2 weeks ago and finally my orders are here in the Philippines. Unfortunately, DHL (the courier) called me informing me that I had to pay custom fees (900+php) :( I availed their express shipping because it's free if your order amounts to 1800php and above.

    1. I think spending around $4 for express shipping saves you the hassle of paying for customs / handling fee once it gets delivered to your door. That's my tip when buying from Yesstyle. :)

    1. Update on my purchase from yesstyle.
my packages arrived yesterday thru UPS and the guy from the said courier handed out 2 sets of compiled papers from customs and receipts of each package which I had to pay 15 pesos for postage stamp (x2), so 30 pesos. I was happy to know that I only had to pay that certain amount. The courier btw is United Parcel Services of America which I didn't know a shipping courier exist. Anyways, I had a great experience with the courier this time and ofc from yesstyle.

  9. Hi Alex, just a question, all your packages from yesstyle were delivered straight to your door in the philippines? Do you live in Manila? Thank you.

    1. Yep! :) delivered straight to my doorstep even if your package isn't express. And yesstyle will give updates on your package the moment your package is shipped. Updates on tracking number and which courier in-charge for delivery. Most of the time, the courier will inform you first before they deliver your package. But, sometimes couriers will ask you to pay some amount before they handed the package and it could be expensive or cheaper than the amount of your package.

  10. I just received my first Yesstyle order and I love the shirt, I follow also your tips and it fits well. Thank you. Actually I ordered 4 items, 1 shirt and 3 Gatsby products. May I ask kung may additional fees ka pa bang binayaran noong nakuha mo na yung order mo kasi I chose Express but free yung shipping fee kasi $62 (about 3000PHP) yung order? DHL young courier pero may binayaran akong 800 at nakalagay custom fee etc.

    1. Ako nga rin. Nag inform sila na may 800+ na dpat bayaran for customs and etc. magkano ba hingi nila sau? 800 lang ba? May receipt ba galing sa customs? O sa dhl lang yan? May packages ako dati from yesstyle worth 5k each then pinadala thru UPS (courier) yung package tapos wala akong binayaran na customs aside sa 15 pesos each na postage stamps.

    3. Definitely get Express Shipping next time guys, it'll save you the hassle of surprise customs fees. :)

    4. I emailed Yesstyle to send my packages through express shipping and they said that my packages are on express shipping na kasi nakaabot sa 1,800 pesos yung purchase ko. Diba free shipping lang yun? So, not sure if what they really meant about express. I'm actually willing to pay for express to avoid dhl from asking custom fees.

I think wala naman tlgang custom fees aside sa 15 pesos na postage stamp for each parcel. Sa DHL lang tlga ung fees na yun. Kasi sa *UPS* (thumbs up for this courier), may BOC papers and receipts tlga silang binigay na 15 pesos lang talaga ang nakalagay dun, first time kong na receive ever since bumili ako from Yesstyle.

  18. hi! i just want to share my recent experience with yesstyle.com. I ordered 3 3CE lippies and 1 Apieu blush cushion last Nov25. Days have passed and my orders are still being processed. That’s when I noticed that one of them is being sourced out for 21days. Come dec16, no changes were made on the order status and I noticed that the item missing is already tagged as “out of stock”. I emailed them to followup my orders and they told me that it still not available and they are not sure on when will it arrive. I asked them for a refund and expedite the shipment of my items. they replied telling me that the item is already available and they are about to ship my items. I received my items today, dec21 (5 days after shipment) via DHL (door-to-door and no extra charges).
